Women’s Rights

Western societies have made a great deal of progress in the area of women’s rights.  The increasing influence of Islam on Western society means that this progress may end up being reversed because women do not enjoy equality in Islam.  Under sharia, the testimony of a woman is worth half that of a man.  Governments who support islamisation are effectively undermining the rights of women.  If the Islamic population of the West increases, as demographic trends indicate, then women’s rights may be a casualty of the changes that result.  A poll commission for the Sunday Telegraph indicated that 40% of British Muslims wanted to see sharia law in Britain.  It is likely that this would be mirrored in other parts of the Western world.  By encouraging sharia norms you encourage second class status for women.
