Irshad Manji Speaking At A London Event In Support Of Aasiya Bibi

An event took place in London’s Trafalgar Square on Saturday 10 March 2012 in support of Aasiya Bibi, a Christian who has suffered persecution in Pakistan following accusations of blasphemy.  We gave more details about her case in a previous post.  The event started with a short march which was followed by a peace concert that incorporated prayers, speeches, and live music.

Muslim refusenik and author of The Trouble With Islam Today and Allah, Liberty and Love made a good speech in support of Aasiya Bibi.  Liberties Alliance had one of its British activists present at the event who recorded Irshad Manji’s speech and photographed the event – these can be found below:
