A Brief History of the Transatlantic Counterjihad
There has been a great deal written about the Counterjihad in recent times, much of it utter nonsense. In late 2011 the Counterjihad produced a historical outline of its work called ‘A Brief History of the Transatlantic Counterjihad’.
This document includes the historical context of the movement, and the role played by the International Civil Liberties Alliance (ICLA) including the Counterjihad conferences that it was involved with. It also demonstrates the movement’s commitment to upholding the principles of human rights. Its participation in meetings of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) illustrates its commitment to play a full and active role in civil society. The document also outlines the movement’s public education programme including the project of translating important documents into multiple languages. The repression of the Counterjihad both official and unofficial is also discussed.
